  • Aviation Construction (Onsite) Cleveland, OH | Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) Aviation experience at a commercial airport is required. Candidates without it will not be considered. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with strong aviation construction experience to support the Terminal Modernization Development Program (TMDP) at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE)

6 billion capital program over eight years covering parking, landside, transit, and terminal projects. This is a hands-on, onsite role for a senior project manager who understands active airport work, complex phasing, stakeholder coordination, and clear delivery on a major capital program. You will run assigned projects day-to-day, direct supporting staff, and report to the Construction Manager and EPM team.
LOCATION & SCHEDULE
Onsite at Cleveland Hopkins Airport (CLE), within the TMDP Project Management Office (PMO)
  • 5 days/week Local Cleveland-area candidates preferred; relocation or weekly onsite availability may be considered Must be able to obtain airport Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badging (background check and fingerprinting required)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Run assigned TMDP projects day-to-day across procurement, design, construction, and closeout Own scope, budget, schedule, and risk for each assigned project Coordinate design-build teams, contractors, and consultants to meet program goals Coordinate construction phasing and logistics to minimize disruption to airport operations Track cost, change orders, and schedule against baselines; report variances Run progress meetings; prepare and document RFIs, submittals, and correspondence Support constructability reviews, bid package preparation, and contractor selection Manage all project documentation and reporting in Procore, the program's central project management system Coordinate with Department staff and stakeholders (FAA, TSA, CBP, airlines) Support commissioning, operational readiness, inspections, and project handover
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum 8 years on aviation projects at an active commercial airport (required
  • non-negotiable) Minimum 12 years of construction or program management experience Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management Track record running multiple concurrent projects with senior field-level responsibility Experience on large-scale capital projects of similar scope and complexity to the TMDP Experience across both design-bid-build and design-build delivery methods Working knowledge of Procore or comparable program management software Strong scheduling, cost control, and contract administration skills Comfortable working onsite in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder airport environment
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
PMP, CCM, or PE in the applicable discipline Experience with parking structures, landside, transit/rail interface, or terminal projects Experience working under an Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) AOA driving training, or ability to obtain it LEED accreditation or sustainable construction experience
