Location:
201 S Union Street Olean, NY 14760 Frequent travel throughout Cattaraugus, Allegany, Chautauqua, Wyoming, Steuben, and Livingston counties is required. The Project Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day implementation of grant-funded initiatives focused on reducing opioid overdoses and fatalities across multiple counties. This hybrid position works closely with local partners, community stakeholders, and Columbia University's Communities that HEAL program to coordinate prevention and recovery efforts, support county task forces, and ensure successful completion of project goals and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate daily grant and project activities Support strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of community-based initiatives Collaborate with Columbia University's Communities that HEAL program and local stakeholders to engage communities in overdose prevention efforts Provide support to county task forces including public health, law enforcement, probation, schools, healthcare providers, judicial systems, and community agencies Recruit and engage underrepresented community sectors to strengthen coalition impact Monitor project timelines, deliverables, data collection, and reporting requirements Identify and resolve program issues while supporting continuous quality improvement Attend community meetings, outreach events, and interagency collaborations across multiple counties Develop and maintain partnerships with government, nonprofit, healthcare, and community organizations Ensure compliance with grant requirements, policies, safety standards, and program procedures
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field required Minimum 2 years of experience in health or human services; substance use, behavioral health, or prevention experience preferred Knowledge of addiction, recovery, prevention services, and community health resources Strong project management, organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse community partners Experience with data tracking, reporting, and Microsoft Office applications preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
