Our focus is supporting individuals through residential housing, mental health, and clinical services, and immersing our participants in community engagement. Working closely with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health, we support 27 housing locations and 3 administrative buildings.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, direction and guidance for planning and implementing the project Oversee all project activities related to SAMHSA, including evaluation, social marketing and communication, cultural responsiveness and community engagement Respond to the direction of the Principal Investigator to achieve project's goals, objectives, and expected outcomes and to plan sustainability of critical activities of the initiative Ensure all parts of the project are culturally and linguistically responsive to populations served in the development, implementation, and evaluation of program, services, and training Understand project budget and ensure project activities/expenses stay within budget Ensure that all required documentation is completed and maintained per grant requirements Provide direct supervision to the Lead Family Coordinator and other staff as deemed necessary Prepare a SAMHSA grant budget and present it to the principal investigator for consideration Develop a strong interagency collaboration, one that is culturally competent, respects all players and builds a true partnership Establish and maintain internal and external communication mechanisms and contacts needed to facilitate program operations
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a human services related field and four years' experience serving children with complex needs, required. Master's degree in a human services related field and a minimum of two years' experience serving children with complex needs, strongly preferred. Strong leadership skills, required. Experience in children's systems of care, preferred; experience providing services to, or on behalf of, youth with developmental disabilities, preferred. Experience incorporating trauma-informed framework into service delivery, preferred. Familiarity with cultures and languages of population services, preferred. Bilingual speaker, preferred. One-year supervisory experience, preferred.
Conditions of Employment:
Must possess a valid NYS Driver's license and have transportation necessary to meet departmental needs.
