Job Description
Job Summary :
The Transformation Manager, Perioperative Services will serve as a member of the operational leadership team as an extension of the Operational Excellence team. The role is emersed in operational management and process improvement across the WMC Health network. Reporting directly to the Operational Excellence department, you will engage senior leadership to align process improvement and data analytics deployments with the organization's transformational goals. The Transformation Manager will facilitate the redesign of clinical processes, drive innovation, and ensure that all digital health and IT modernization projects align with the organization's strategic, transformational, and financial goals.Responsibilities:
Serve as a change agent and transformation leader for WMC, emersed in the day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives of the department / workstream. Provide leaders, teams, and departments with a wide range of state-of-the-art process improvement and industrial engineering methodologies to transform operational processes. Work autonomously as the primary liaison between Operational Excellence, operational leadership, and clinical leadership to support performance improvement activities that align with the strategic direction of the WMCHealth Network. Present results and future-state proposals to audiences ranging from analysts to C-suite executives. Plan & Execute implementation & training to end-users to support the deployment of process improvement and data deliverables. Design and implement sound operational processes with clear process owners to ensure lasting adoption of these tools or improvements. Facilitate ideation and strategic problem solving discussions with operation leadership and frontline teams to structure projects in alignment to the department / workstream and organizational goals. Analyze key performance measures and industry benchmarks to identify operational gaps. Support leadership in translating data into high-value opportunities for innovation and cost savings. Plan and/or lead training sessions to ensure initiatives meet user needs and have a concrete, measurable impact on operations, access to care, experience, and quality. Facilitate stakeholder engagement, accountability, and change management across departments to ensure alignment on new workflows and technical solutions. Act as a strategic advisor on technology trends and clinical innovation. Collect and translate operational business requirements to be included in future-state process design. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration that will identify, design, and implement solutions that will result in high quality and efficient processes. Support the Operational Excellence leadership team in shaping the project portfolio based on strategic alignment to the department / workstream leadership Engage engineering and project management resource to support the tactical execution of key projects while ensuring accountability and ownership from department / workstream leadershipQualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum of at least 5 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Healthcare Management, or other healthcare-related field with significant stakeholder presentation and transformation training, required. Experience with modern EMR software, optimization, reporting, and workflow design, required At least 2 years in a direct leadership role managing and developing other team members, requiredEducation:
Master's degree in industrial engineering, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field, required Licenses /Certifications:
