Qualifications Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business Administration (Accounting, Management or Finance), Construction Management or related field. Equivalent experience in a construction-related position will also be considered.
10 years of heavy civil construction experience in York metro area.
Experience with alternative delivery contracts including but not limited to CMAR, Design-Build, CMGC, Progressive Design-Build, P3, etc. preferred
Must be willing to work Project sites will be located in the York metro area and/or Northeast, so relocation and/or travel are required.
Experience supervising multiple project engineers.
Heavy civil construction background/experience managing diverse projects including but not limited to bridges, underground, transit, and other types of heavy civil infrastructure
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Safety-oriented, 10-hour and 30-hour OSHA certificates are preferred.
Strong work ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
Ability to function as a team-builder/player. Responsibilities Responsible for managing and directing the project team by providing the communication, coordination and follow-up necessary to meet the project goals and objectives.
Directly responsible to senior management.
Provides ongoing project information and project reviews as required by management.
Coordinates training and compliance measures to ensure project procedures are followed.
Ensures scope of work, schedule, and budget are clearly defined and understood by senior management and all project participants, including client.
Determines, controls, and maintains overall project and discipline schedules and budgets.
Tracks schedule and budget progress with project milestones and takes all action necessary to keep project on track.
Identifies and secures necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget and/or schedule.
Maintains ongoing training and mentoring of project team.
Maintains ongoing communication with client, making adjustments as necessary to comply with client's needs within contractual obligations, or adjusting project deliverables to meet the client and Barnard's needs. Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled, E-Verify Employer
