Job Description

Project Manager APA Solar Overview As APA grows we are adding to our Project Management Department. A Project Manager leads and oversees multiple customer projects often multi-tasking. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication / customer service, and a thorough understanding of project management methodologies. Responsibilities Create and or manage workflow using comprehensive software from project conception to close out. Including but not limited to submittal packages, specifications, manuals and warranty. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to generate project efficiency. Develop and refine relationships with customers. Continually grow communication externally with customers and within other internal departments to guarantee a smooth project. Complete all required or directed training, certification, licensing, and other learning and development as assigned. Work with internal departments to communicate issues, successes, or improvements.
Procurement Stage:
Partners with engineering and the purchasing team to ensure submittals are being completed on time and within the parameters of the sale. Owns operation translation of all workflow to internal software. Manages the projects from launch to product shipment to ensure the workflow is uninterrupted and remains on schedule. Owns the creation, and tracking of schedule and timelines; owns and partners with other Project Managers to secure subs, logistics, mobilization, materials, and resources. Continuously identifies risks to the projects and communicates them to the executive team in regards to the installation and schedule. Owns responsibility to ensure billing and other legal documents are completed prior to construction start. Communicates continuously within own team and externally to ensure materials and construction start coincide and are agreeable to all parties.
Construction Stage:
Works with the customer or subcontractor to provide product and quality assurance support. Coordinates onsite deliveries and works with field team to ensure inventory and product are delivered as sold. Manages and coordinates owner/developer meetings, weekly customer communication, schedule changes, and all invoicing. Maintain appropriate documentation throughout the project including change order logs, submittal logs, RFI's, QA/QC documents and any other documents related to the warranty of the project. Follow up on all PO deliveries, tracking shipments, and/or missing items. Coordinates all RFI's from the field related to the product with internal engineering and purchasing teams.
Closeout Stage:
Assure close out and execution of all open change orders. Work with accounting to assure complete invoicing to customer; collections of past due if applicable. Report any quality issues relayed from the customer to internal Quality Assurance Team. Process, complete and save all Closeout Docs, to include: Warranty document completed by Executive Team. Substantial Completion Document if applicable As Built Drawings. QA/QC Documents Complete with your Project Team, a job report including construction performance, budget to Actual Performance and any other Product or Construction concerns related to the project.

Must have a valid State driver's license in good standing with an insurance company. Ideal candidate will have a background in Engineering or Construction Management. Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills, including budget and schedule management. Proven ability to identify and manage project risks and opportunities. Effective relationship-building skills with key stakeholders and decision-makers. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (ProCore), and adaptable to new technologies. Experience 3 years job experience or equivalent experience is required. Previous supervisor, project management type experience preferred. This is NOT a remote position.
