Job Description:
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the overall execution and delivery of mission-critical data center projects , ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This individual will lead all phases of the construction lifecycle-from preconstruction through closeout-while protecting and promoting the interests of both the client and the business. The PM must demonstrate strong leadership, technical understanding of data center environments, and the ability to manage complex project teams and stakeholders.
Salary:
$130,000 + $10K in yearly car allowance + quarterly bonuses guaranteed. Total compensation ranges up to $200K. Additional openings for an Assistant Project Manager. Key Responsibilities Champion and enforce a strong culture of safety across all project phases and job sites Lead project planning, execution, and delivery for data center construction projects (ground-up and/or retrofit) Develop, manage, and maintain project budgets, including forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting Oversee preconstruction activities, including RFP development, subcontractor procurement, and scope alignment Manage and facilitate all project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications Drive project schedule development and updates to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved Lead internal and client-facing meetings, providing clear communication and reporting (including monthly owner reports) Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field operations teams to ensure alignment on project execution and logistics Maintain quality control standards and ensure compliance with client specifications and industry best practices Negotiate subcontractor agreements, change orders, and resolve project-related challenges or risks Oversee project closeout, including documentation, punch list completion, and turnover to the client Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered 5+ years of experience in commercial construction with a General Contractor, preferably supporting mission-critical or data center projects Proven experience managing large-scale, complex construction projects with multiple stakeholders Strong understanding of MEP systems, commissioning processes, and data center infrastructure is highly preferred Proficiency in construction and project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and the Microsoft Office Suite Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractor performance effectively Key Competencies Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to drive accountability and results Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interface with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed project decisions Proactive problem solver with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
