Project Overview:

Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. We are partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. Bechtel Manufacturing & Technology, Inc. offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the semiconductor manufacturing, electric vehicle, and data center markets. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, the M&T global business unit also includes colleagues working in Arizona, Ohio, Texas, India, and additional project locations around the world.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will provide non-routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling needs to projects. You will establish stakeholder relationships, conduct schedule analysis and integrate activities, identify restraints, quantify risks, monitor cost and performance, recommend alternatives, and deliver training sessions and workshops. Your activities will synthesize project components into seamless execution. #LI-BH1

Major Responsibilities:

Coordinates cost engineering/planning and scheduling needs to projects Coordinates with all departments to ensure understanding of total project schedule needs Identifies schedule considerations and problems resulting from inter-discipline or functional restraints and interfaces Monitors and reports critical path and schedule performance of the total project Conducts project schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities. Collects and analyzes alternatives for schedule improvement. Coordinates cost recording, monitoring, & reporting practices for compliance with applicable standards Coordinates the development and accuracy of cost reports Prepares specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures Oversees the maintenance and upkeep of detailed project risk register through ongoing reviews to ensure data quality, accuracy, and timeliness including facilitation support during the risk workshops, risk identification sessions and other risk related activities Delivers training sessions and facilitates workshops

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and the home office. Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems driven by data. Skilled in oral and written communication. Advanced proficiency with Project Controls operating systems, including Primavera 6 and Microsoft Office Applications. Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes, as performed by Bechtel. Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience. Demonstrated flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and/or changing priorities.
