College of Professional and Continuing Studies Open Date Apr 01, 2026 Description The University of Oklahoma's College of Professional and Continuing Studies (PACS) invites applications for a full‑time, renewable‑term faculty position at the assistant or associate professor level in Project Management. With an anticipated start date of Fall 2026, we seek an innovative educator and practitioner who will develop, launch, and teach in a new Project Management major within the college's adult‑focused, online degree completion programs. PACS is a national leader in accessible, workforce‑aligned education for adult learners. The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping a curriculum that reflects industry standards, emerging practices, and the college's mission of expanding access to high‑quality, flexible learning opportunities. This position includes teaching online courses, mentoring adjunct faculty, and providing academic leadership for the development and continuous improvement of project‑management‑related offerings. This nine‑month position includes a four‑course online teaching load each semester, curriculum development, and academic leadership within the project management discipline. Because community engagement is central to the college's mission, local residency in the Norman/Oklahoma City area is expected. Qualifications Required Qualifications Master's degree in project management, business administration, organizational leadership, engineering management, or a closely related field. Professional experience in project management and industry‑recognized credentials (e.g., PMP, CAPM, PMI‑ACP, PgMP, or comparable certifications). Experience teaching or training adult learners, preferably in online or hybrid environments. Demonstrated ability to design, revise, or lead curriculum aligned with professional standards and workforce needs. Strong communication skills and a commitment to collegiality, collaboration, and respectful engagement with students, faculty, and staff. Willingness to reside in the Norman area and participate actively in the PACS and OU community. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. or terminal degree in a relevant field. Experience teaching in accelerated online formats (e.g., eight‑week courses). Familiarity with learning outcomes assessment, program review, accreditation, and trends in online and adult education. Evidence of effective leadership, teamwork, and service in academic or professional settings. Demonstrated commitment to student‑centered teaching and support of adult learners. Application Instructions Applicants should submit a comprehensive cover letter, current CV, and contact information for three professional references via Interfolio at https://apply.interfolio.com/183810 .
