Job Description
Job Description Insight Global is seeking an OSP Project Manager to support a large telecommunications customer. This role is responsible for end-to-end project ownership of fiber connectivity initiatives, serving as the single point of contact for customers post-sale. The Project Manager will lead planning, execution, coordination, and communication to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to construction standards. This role pays $32

- 45/hr. Key Responsibilities Project & Customer Management
- Serve as the primary customer contact, providing post-sale support, project leadership, and ongoing communication.
- Manage customer orders, service requests, and installation coordination.
- Support and lead customer meetings, including in-person site visits and travel as required.
- Provide project-level and executive reporting with regular updates to key stakeholders. Fiber Planning & Technical Oversight
- Assess and validate route requirements, including routing, fiber counts, hut spacing, and overall design objectives.
- Provide technical expertise related to fiber optic splicing and testing.
- Perform on-site surveys and attend field meetings to ensure delivery and commitment dates are met.
- Ensure splicing documentation is completed and delivered to support teams in a timely manner. Vendor & Construction Management
- Manage splicing and testing vendors across multiple projects to expedite route delivery.
- Coordinate access to customer and network points of presence for splicing and testing activities.
- Ensure compliance with splicing maintenance schedules and customer notification processes.
- Conduct construction resource planning to meet project objectives. Scheduling, Budget & Risk Management
- Collaborate with internal project managers to refine schedules and budgets.
- Actively manage project schedules, vendor processes, documentation, and budgets throughout execution.
- Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Ensure routes are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with construction standards. Procurement & Contract Management
- Oversee procurement of materials and equipment required for project implementation.
- Monitor material inventory and lead times to prevent project delays.
- Develop RFPs for splicing and testing services, manage the bid process, and negotiate contracts.
- Manage contract terms and vendor performance throughout the contract lifecycle. Stakeholder & Municipality Coordination
- Interface directly with customers, subcontractors, internal teams, and jurisdictional authorities.
