Job Description:
Project Manager A growing aerospace and defense technology company is seeking a Project Manager responsible for the technical, schedule, and cost performance of complex engineering projects in accordance with contract requirements. This individual will lead cross-functional teams through the full project lifecycle, ensuring successful execution while maintaining strong communication with both internal stakeholders and customers. The role will also be responsible for managing customer expectations and providing regular project performance updates. Responsibilities Support the development of cost estimates, schedules, risks, and opportunities for bid and proposal activities Ensure customer requirements and technical specifications are properly captured, communicated, and achieved throughout the contract lifecycle Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and track project execution from kickoff through completion Identify and manage project risks and opportunities across cost, schedule, and technical performance, including mitigation and contingency planning Coordinate with resource managers to assign project resources and resolve resource conflicts based on delivery priorities Manage project scope and enforce strong change control processes, including the preparation of customer change proposals Develop Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Estimate to Completion (ETC) projections and implement corrective actions as needed Perform variance analysis against forecasts and annual operating plans Work closely with leadership to negotiate and implement updates to project schedules and budgets Capture and communicate lessons learned following project completion Integrate supplier schedules and deliverables into the overall project plan to ensure alignment with key milestones Serve as the primary liaison between project teams, operations, senior leadership, suppliers, and customers Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Information Technology, or a related field required Master's Degree in a related field preferred PMP certification preferred Minimum of 5 years of relevant project management experience; 7+ years preferred Experience within the aerospace and defense industry preferred Experience working with ERP systems Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered Benefits & Perks Employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid holidays and paid time off Flexible work schedule options including 9/80 or 4/10 schedules
