Job Description

Position Overview:
The Assistant Project Manager role works side by side with the Commercial Project Manager to support all phases of a project, from the submittal process through job closeout. This position assists with day-to-day project coordination, documentation, and communication to help ensure accurate records, timely follow-ups, and smooth overall project execution.
Essential Job Functions and Duties:
Assist in securing and monitoring certifications and documentation required by contracts Prepare submittal and closeout documents for projects for Project Manager approval Prepare install packets for Project Manager approval Read and interpret blueprints to support project management and production teams Assist with billing and invoicing processes as needed Assist with obtaining vendor waivers for billing purposes Learn and apply detailed knowledge of company product lines Responsible for tracking commercial safety stock, commercial inventory and no cost inventory; maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring adequate quantities are available Maintain organized systems for storing up-to-date job information Prepare and process materials for return or shipment to customers Assist with obtaining return authorizations for products during the closeout process Pick up materials from vendors as necessary Deliver materials to job sites or general contractors as required Responsible for scanning and organizing archived project materials to reduce clutter and maintain accurate digital records Perform additional duties as assigned by the project management team
Education and Work Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous construction experience is important. Understand how Project Management work.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Read, write, and understand English. Customer focused employee. Attention to detail and ability to multitask and make decisions. Establish and maintain effective work relationships through teamwork, cooperation, dependability, respect and having a positive attitude. Must have a valid driver's license.

$19.00 - $24.00 per hour
