Job Description

Our Project Controls team is looking for a talented Project Controls Professional to support our Americas team. As a key part of a larger team across the U.S., you'll be based in any one of the ideal posting locations noted for this role and be assigned as a Hybrid employee to one of these Jacobs offices. You'll be accountable for timely and accurate input of data, thorough and accurate review and analysis of defined cost and schedule elements, and timely and accurate deliverables. We'll lean on you to develop and monitor project budgets, track and analyze actuals compared to forecast, develop estimates to complete, review commitments and expenditures, communicate project financials, facilitate accruals, and assist with change management.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for project pricing, contingencies/reserves, WBS structure and project set-up.
  • Collect and analyze data and provide monthly KPIs to project stakeholders.
  • Assist in project coordination from conception through close-out.
  • Support Project Managers with monthly Project Reviews (PRs).
  • Support Project Managers with quarterly forecast.
  • Provide support to Project Controls staff members as needed.
  • Review expenditure details, identify errors and facilitate corrections.
  • Perform risk analysis on cost and schedule and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Assure change management systems and processes are implemented.
  • Identify and escalate compliance issues, project risks and significant financial impacts to operations and finance leadership and work with project teams to address and implement recovery plans.
  • Distribute project financial reports and submit estimates to complete and revenue recognition approvals as required.

  • BS or BA degree with preference given to a degree in Economics, Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.
  • Five to eight years' experience within project controls or project accountant related functions.
  • Experience creating monthly project cost reports with timely, accurate information.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills. Ideally, you'll also have
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast paced team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities.
