12199 POSITION SUMMARY Barton Malow is seeking a Scheduling Manager for a large-scale data center project near Philadelphia, PA. This role will lead all planning and scheduling efforts on a complex, fast-paced mission critical construction project. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical scheduling expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, trade partners, and clients. The Scheduling Manager will play a critical role in driving project success by developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules while ensuring alignment with project milestones, cost forecasting, and operational goals. This position requires strong leadership capabilities and the ability to mentor and guide scheduling personnel while supporting project leadership in managing risk and maintaining schedule performance. Please note this position will be working onsite full-time.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead all planning and scheduling activities for the project from preconstruction through project completion. Develop, maintain, and manage detailed CPM project schedules utilizing Oracle Primavera P6. Partner with project leadership, owners, design teams, and trade partners to establish and maintain schedule alignment with project milestones and deliverables. Monitor and track schedule progress, ensuring subcontractor and owner reporting requirements are achieved. Establish baseline schedules and prepare schedule narratives, variance analyses, float analyses, and delay analyses. Forecast schedule performance and integrate schedule impacts with project cost and manpower projections. Lead schedule update meetings and communicate schedule status, risks, recovery plans, and critical path impacts to stakeholders. Drive change management processes related to scheduling, including scope changes, schedule fragments, and Time Impact Analyses (TIA). Identify schedule risks and proactively communicate mitigation strategies to project leadership and executive management. Mentor and support scheduling team members while promoting scheduling best practices across the project team. Support claims avoidance and documentation efforts through accurate schedule maintenance and reporting. Collaborate with operations teams to improve planning processes and drive successful project execution.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field required. 10+ years of Planning & Scheduling experience within the construction industry. Prior mission critical and/or data center construction experience strongly preferred. Experience managing scheduling efforts on large-scale commercial, industrial, or advanced technology projects. Advanced proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 Professional required. Strong understanding of CPM scheduling principles, schedule logic, float management, and delay analysis methodologies. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience with Bluebeam, Autodesk Build, and project collaboration platforms preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to identify risks, solve problems proactively, and drive schedule performance outcomes. Experience supporting hyperscale or mission critical data center projects is preferred.
