Project Manager Contractor This is a Full-Time Hybrid-Remote (In-Office for Occasional Team Meetings) role in Arlington, VA supporting a Large Government Consulting Firm.

The Program / Project Manager will oversee two cross-functional agile delivery teams across the full delivery lifecycle: plan (including estimation), analyze, design, build, test, deploy and service operations introduction. The teams will be responsible for building AI-enabled agents, custom software solutions, and Salesforce-based capabilities. This leader will ensure both teams consistently follow established delivery processes, quality standards, and governance expectations. The PM will drive program increment planning, risk identification and mitigation, and stakeholder alignment while maintaining a strong executive presence to report e ff ectively to senior leadership.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee two cross-functional teams and ensure consistent adherence to delivery processes, quality standards, and governance expectations.
  • Provide executive-ready updates, manage stakeholder expectations, and support leadership decision-making.
  • Lead Agile/SAFe activities including PI Planning, backlog alignment, cross-team dependency management, and cadence ceremonies.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate risks and issues with proactive escalation and clear documentation.
  • Coordinate delivery of AI agent development, custom software solutions, and Salesforce capabilities.
  • Support business development activities including scoping, estimating, and solution shaping when needed.
