Job Description

AI Application Design Project Coordinator - Hybrid - Washington, DC Our client, a major membership-based organization advocating for older adults, is seeking an experienced Application Design Project Coordinator to help support their knowledge management system (Insights Hub) and strengthen its generative AI and platform capabilities. This is a 6-month full-time hybrid contract, and you must live in the Washington, DC area. This role spans two distinct but connected phases: Pre?decision application evaluation, including structured collection of stakeholder feedback to inform leadership decisions; and any participation in any testing and analysis required. Post?decision planning and execution, supporting implementation readiness, migration planning, testing, validation, and change management. Responsibilities Pre?

Decision Platform Evaluation & Sandbox Testing Support the definition and operationalization success criteria and evaluative metrics (e.g., usability, accuracy, relevancy, completeness, recency, efficiency). Support collection, synthesization, and analyzation of testing feedback and insights. Support preparation of decision?ready summaries and recommendations for leadership and advisory stakeholders. Planning & Program Management Partner with Research leadership to inform overall scope, sequencing, and decision framing for the Insights Hub initiative. Support delivery of actionable project plan with milestones, dependencies, and deliverables. Manage the integrated schedule from evaluation through execution, keeping the team on track and surfacing risks early. Apply agile principles to adapt plans as new information, constraints, or opportunities emerge. Implementation Readiness, Migration Planning, Testing & Validation (Post?

Decision) Support planning and coordination required to stand up a selected system or evolve the existing platform, including: Implementation planning and workflow design Data migration planning and execution support Testing, validation, and readiness checkpoints Partner with technical and business stakeholders to ensure the solution meets functional, governance, and operational requirements. Help translate evaluation findings into implementation priorities and sequencing. Change Management & Communications Craft clear, audience?appropriate communications throughout both phases (evaluation and post?decision), including updates, guidance, and decision materials. Provide change?management support to help stakeholders understand what's changing, why it matters, and how to engage with new systems or workflows. Anticipate adoption challenges and proactively address them through communication, training, and process adjustments. Synthesize existing research, metrics, and program materials into clear insights and identify critical learning gaps. Diagnose current state services from both participant and operational perspectives. Partner with stakeholders to prioritize the service gaps with the greatest potential impact. Design and test improved service concepts using lightweight, iterative methods. Produce clear, actionable artifacts and recommendations that enable teams to carry the work forward after the engagement. Project Focus Areas Back to Work Coaching Program Analyze the end to end participant experience, from intake through employment. Identify barriers to participation, completion, and job outcomes. Redesign priority touchpoints and supporting operations; test and refine improvements. Gig Worker Expense Management Tools Support research into financial behaviors, constraints, and technology comfort among older gig workers. Support mapping current expense tracking practices and pain points. Develop and prototype early concepts to inform a go / no go decision and potential next phase.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience designing or redesigning complex services or programs using human centered design methods. Experience working on time bound, project-based service design engagements. Strong skills in research, synthesis, journey mapping, and service blueprinting. Experience facilitating workshops and coaching cross functional, non-design teams. Interest in mission driven work with real world impact. #IND1
Pay:
