Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative individual to support our growing National Advisory team in North America U.S. Regions. At Jacobs, we deliver solutions that shape the future of infrastructure. Our Advisory team works alongside clients to solve complex challenges in asset management, operational readiness, and aviation safety. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside industry experts while developing your career in project management. As an Assistant Project Manager for Advisory, you will contribute to the successful delivery of complex, multidisciplinary advisory projects by working closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who serve as client-facing Project Managers. You will help drive project execution, maintain alignment across stakeholders, and manage project financial and schedule adherence. This role requires a highly organized, proactive professional who can manage competing priorities, communicate effectively across teams, and provide consistent visibility into project performance. Will need to perform project management task in alignment with Jacobs tools and project management standards. This role offers a flexible, hybrid working environment with 2-5 days at a client site and/or an assigned Jacobs office. In this role, you will:
Drive Project Delivery:
Contribute to project planning and execution to meet defined scope, schedule, and budget. Manage day-to-day project activities across multiple workstreams and disciplines. Track deliverables and ensure timely, high-quality completion. Contribute to the development, maintenance, and execution of key project management documents, including the Project Execution Plan (PEP), Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), and other required Jacobs PM deliverables.
Manage and Report Financial Performance:
Monitor project expenditures, burn rates, and overall budget performance. Provide weekly updates to client-facing Project Managers on forecasts and budget variances. Manage invoice preparation, cost tracking, and financial reporting in alignment with project requirements.
Coordinate Stakeholder Communication:
Act as a key liaison between Jacobs Subject Matter Experts, client-facing PMs, and project teams. Engage discipline leads and partner organizations to support integrated project delivery. Facilitate communication of project status, risks, and key decisions.
Facilitate Meetings and Author Documentation:
In collaboration with client facing project manager, Plan and facilitate internal project meetings with clear agendas and outcomes. Capture decisions, document minutes, and drive action items to closure. Produce progress reports and client-ready updates, through use of various MS tools In collaboration and support of client facing project manager, prepare presentations, briefings, and support client deliverables.
Manage Project Risks and Issues:
Maintain project logs for risks, issues, and actions. Engage in
Client and Business Development Activities:
Collaborate with the sales team on proposal development and pursuit support.
Promote Quality and Continuous Improvement:
In partnership with client facing project manager, Champion the delivery of high-quality work that meets or exceeds client expectations. Ensure project activities align with approved plans, standards, and quality expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor compliance with Jacobs' project delivery framework and support continuous improvement of project management processes. LI-AC2 Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience supporting or managing projects, preferably in an advisory environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate across teams, and deliver work in a deadline-driven environment. Experience supporting project financials, including cost tracking, budgeting, or invoice coordination. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience preparing presentations, briefing materials, reports, and client-facing documentation. Proven ability to facilitate meetings, track actions, and maintain clear project documentation. Ideally, you'll also have: Aviation experience Highly collaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to work independently and take initiative when needed. Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project). Experience working in aviation, transportation, or asset management. The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target new hire salaries for this position across all listed U.S. locations. Factors such as location and level of experience will be considered.
