This role is ideal for a driven construction professional who enjoys field work, detailed coordination, and frequent travel. Work from home initially and then transition to full-time onsite presence once the project mobilizes, maintaining consistent communication with the project team. Be familiar with the project scope, schedule, drawings, and specifications to understand all project deliverables and effectively support project execution. Assist in preparing and processing submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs), and maintain accurate logs and weekly status updates for both. Support the Project Manager with change orders, budget updates, and cost tracking, even though you do not hold primary financial responsibility. Assist in writing Methods of Procedure (MOPs) to plan work in a way that protects ongoing plant operations and clearly communicates execution steps to vendors, contractors, and the owner. Track equipment deliveries, log missing or damaged equipment, and coordinate with contractors on storage and maintenance of project equipment. Participate in and help lead subcontractor and vendor coordination meetings, including preparing meeting agendas, recording meeting minutes, and following up on action items. Generate daily field reports that document progress, issues, safety observations, and site conditions, including taking photos and maintaining thorough documentation. Support and promote all safety programs, trainings, and policies, and help manage the safety and health of project team members, subcontractors, and visitors. Ensure subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel adhere to safety standards and maintain a safe working environment, including completing required safety reports and analyses. Understand contract terms and conditions for purchase orders and assist the Project Manager in ensuring vendors meet their contractual deliverables. Assist with the coordination and development of the final Commissioning Plan, including owner training, project closeout activities, as-built documentation, and start-up checklists. Communicate proactively with team members, offering help and support to co-workers and field staff as needed to keep the project moving forward. Assist with general facility-related tasks as needed, including helping with the maintenance of onsite facilities and ensuring office supplies are stocked and organized. Essential Skills Experience in construction or construction management, with a focus on field-based project support. Ability and willingness to travel frequently and remain on project sites for extended periods, potentially over a year. Preferred 3 years of relevant construction experience, with consideration for candidates with 1-2 years of strong, related experience. Experience with RFIs, submittals, and construction reporting, including daily reports and meeting documentation. Familiarity with project scheduling concepts and the ability to assist with daily schedule updates and coordination. Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain logs, track equipment deliveries, and manage multiple concurrent tasks. Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and project scope documents. Commitment to safety and the ability to support and enforce safety policies and procedures on active construction sites. Clear written and verbal communication skills for preparing meeting agendas, minutes, daily reports, and coordination with subcontractors and vendors. Exposure to commissioning, project closeout processes, and coordination of owner training and as-built documentation.
