Assistant Project Manager General Location:
Chattanooga, Tennessee (Hybrid)Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team, supporting the management and coordination of complex projects within the infrastructure sector. Our team values collaboration, attention to detail, and ensuring seamless communications among clients, subcontractors, and vendors.Responsibilities:
Support project managers in coordinating project activities, maintaining document control, and managing project databases to achieve objectives within specified timelines and budgets. Assist with the development of RFP package documentation, bid and selection processes, and detailed scope of work documents for downstream contracts. Manage contractor communications, including submittals, RFIs, supplemental design instructions, site drawing logs, and ensure contractor compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and material management standards. Participate in project controls, such as cost reporting, scheduling, project closeout, and preparing internal and external reports related to budgeting, cash flow forecasts, and project status updates.Required:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited program, with a minimum of 5 years of applicable post-graduate experience (internship experience excluded). Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment, collaborate well within multi-discipline teams, and work overtime on short notice as needed. Experience with infrastructure projects in T&D, Pipelines, or other grid-type infrastructure (backgrounds focused on commercial buildings, residential buildings, or IT are not preferred).About SSI People:
