Full Job Description What You'll Do:
We're seeking a highly organized and resourceful Business Coordinator to support Retirement Actuarial Services team. This role serves as a central point of coordination across systems, processes, and internal stakeholders to ensure the team operates efficiently and effectively. This is a high-impact, versatile role supporting critical business operations—ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, takes ownership, and excels at solving problems with minimal direction. Lead and coordinate key components of projects through implementation; may serve as project manager on select initiatives Serve as the go-to resource for system functionality—including system testing and validation, troubleshooting issues and partnering with IT to resolve them Ensure critical tools, programs, and platforms are operating effectively to support actuarial and business processes Analyze and troubleshoot mainframe systems and data connections Assist with government filings (e.g., Annual Funding Notice, Schedule
SB, PBGC
) by ensuring systems and workflows support regulatory updates and testing requirements Develop, document, and maintain effective communication, training materials, and process documentation Operating at the intersection of financial services and technology, Principal builds financial tools that help our customers live better lives. Who You Are:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus 6+ years of related experience Experience within project coordination, project management, or operations support Strong ownership mindset with the ability to take initiative and drive work forward independently Excellent problem-solving skills and a resourceful approach to navigating ambiguity Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams Skills That Will Help You Stand Out Defined benefits knowledge and background
Salary Range Information:
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range:
$69300 - $132000 / year
Time Off Program:
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Work Environments This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, Charlotte, NC, and Raleigh, NC).
