Position Overview The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing medium sized projects across multiple departments. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage timelines and resources effectively. While the Project Manager operates independently on assigned initiatives, they will receive guidance and support from the PMO Director and/or Senior Project Managers. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to grow their project leadership capabilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leads the execution of assigned projects from initiation through closure, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget. Develops project plans, define milestones, and coordinate cross-functional resources. Facilitates team meetings, track progress, and manage issues and risks. Supports change management efforts by coordinating communications and training with impacted teams. Recommends process improvements and contribute to workflow optimization efforts. Participates in PMO initiatives to enhance project delivery and maturity. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies. Provides effective management of vendor(s) activities in support of a project, consistent with the project scope and contractual obligations between the vendor(s) and the Company. Ensures that the Company and the vendor(s) have a clear understanding of the goals of a project and the roles, capabilities, and constraints relative to all principal actors in support of the project. Contributes to PMO reporting standards and helps refine templates and tools. Identifies and mitigates project risks; manages scope changes and dependencies. Ensures adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements. Provides consistent communication and direction to employees involved in or affected by a project, ensuring those involved maintain a thorough understanding of the strategies and goals for a project, as well as their individual role supporting that project. Collaborates with Mid Penn University and the internal departments affected by a project to develop and help deliver the training needed by employees most affected by that project. Organizes and holds meetings; keeps the team focused and on track, using standard project management tools and techniques. Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations; prepares and communicates action plans; resolves problems and where possible, implements positive changes. Consults with different department subject matter experts to analyze current workflow processes that are costly in resources and/or time to develop and design efficiencies. Education and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related field required. 5-7 years of project management experience preferred. PMP, CAPM, or Prosci certification a plus. Experience in banking, financial services, or regulated industries is preferred Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while seeking guidance when needed. Regular and predictable attendance is required. Long-term assignments to work from home would typically be in response to certain disruptive events (e.g., environmental risks, pandemic risks, civil unrest risks, etc.) The ability to work from home would require the incumbent to have consumer-grade broadband internet access, such as DSL, Cable, fiber-optic, or similar methods of access, and access to a consumer-grade computer/laptop capable of running standard browser software (e.g. Edge, Chrome, Firefox, etc.). The incumbent should also have the means to communicate via telephone, using either a personal "landline" or personal cellphone. Pay Transparency We set standard salary ranges for our roles based on the position, function, and responsibilities, as benchmarked against similarly sized companies in our industry. Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate's knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location. The annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 Benefits Mid Penn Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package to those who qualify.
