About Us United Restaurant Supply is a leading foodservice equipment dealer providing design, equipment procurement, project management, and installation services for restaurants, healthcare facilities, schools, hospitality venues, and commercial kitchens. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Foodservice Designer to join our team and help create functional, code-compliant, and innovative foodservice environments. Position Summary The Foodservice Designer is responsible for developing commercial kitchen and foodservice facility designs from concept through construction. This role collaborates with consultants, architects, contractors, operators, and equipment manufacturers to create efficient kitchen layouts and equipment specifications that meet operational requirements, budget constraints, and applicable codes. Essential Responsibilities Develop commercial kitchen layouts and foodservice facility designs using CAD and Revit software. Prepare equipment plans, utility drawings, rough-in drawings, elevations, and detailed design documents. Coordinate with architects, engineers, general contractors, consultants, and end users throughout the design process. Review project specifications, construction documents, and contract requirements. Create and maintain equipment schedules and specifications. Assist sales and project management teams with project development and execution. Participate in client meetings, site visits, and project coordination meetings. Ensure designs comply with local health department regulations, ADA requirements, and applicable building codes. Coordinate with equipment manufacturers regarding equipment selection, utility requirements, and installation considerations. Support value engineering efforts while maintaining project functionality and quality. Assist in preparing project budgets and equipment estimates. Qualifications Required Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Engineering Technology, Foodservice Design, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered. Proficiency in AutoCAD. Strong understanding of commercial kitchen operations and equipment. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Experience with Revit and BIM modeling. Previous experience in foodservice consulting, equipment dealership, architecture, or commercial kitchen design. Familiarity with foodservice industry standards and manufacturers. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and ventilation requirements for commercial kitchens. Certified Foodservice Professional (CFSP) or interest in pursuing certification. Membership or involvement with the Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI) is a plus. Pay:
$65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
