I-Team Project Manager
Posting Summary
For more than 50 years, the Vermont Interdisciplinary Team (I-Team) has championed school inclusion for Vermont students with complex disabilities. We are seeking a dynamic Project Director to lead this statewide initiative into its next chapter.
The Vermont I-Team supports local school district educational teams by providing intensive special education technical assistance, professional development, systems-change support, and family-centered services for students with low incidence disabilities, including DeafBlindness, complex medical needs, multiple disabilities, autism, and intellectual disabilities.
As Project Manager, you will set the vision and priorities for a dedicated team of 20+ interdisciplinary specialists working across Vermont to improve educational access and outcomes. This leadership role includes cultivating strong partnerships with schools, families, and state agencies, overseeing project budgets, securing grant funding, and ensuring compliance with University and state policies.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Masters Degree in related field and four to five years of specialized experience in special education and administration required. A deep knowledge of evidence-based strategies for inclusive education practices. Familiarity with IDEA, ADA, and Section 504. Experience working with students with complex needs. Strong communication skills including policy brief and grant writing skills. Demonstrated leadership, decision making, time management, and change management skills. An understanding of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Assistive Technology frameworks is preferred. Desirable Qualifications Anticipated Pay Range $85,000-$100,000 Other Information Special Conditions A probationary period may be required, Contingent on continued funding, Travel to and from worksites required, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position FLSA Exempt Union Position No Job Location Burlington, Vermont, United States Job Close Date (Jobs close at 11:59 PM EST.)
