This is a hybrid position working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and the pay rate for this position is $38.00 per hour .
Jr Project Manager Job Summary:
The Rural Health Transformation Program-Uninsured Adult Healthcare Safety Net Project Manager will lead and manage statewide expansion efforts for new and existing Uninsured Adult Healthcare Safety Net providers under a five-year federal award through the Rural Health Transformation Program. This role is responsible for overseeing program planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement to strengthen access to care for uninsured adults, particularly in rural and underserved communities. The Project Manager will coordinate strategic expansion activities, support providers in scaling services, ensure compliance with federal award requirements, and monitor program outcomes. This position will collaborate closely with internal leadership, external partners, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders to advance program goals, address system challenges, and enhance the statewide Safety Net infrastructure. Responsibilities will include managing budgets, guiding data -driven decision making, developing policies and procedures, and preparing required reports for federal and state partners. This hybrid position will require some on-site attendance so candidates must be local to the Nashville area. Jr Project Manager Job Responsibilities will include: Assisting with statewide expansion planning and implementation for Uninsured Adult Healthcare Safety Net providers, ensuring alignment with Rural Health Transformation Program goals. Providing strategic direction to support providers in scaling services, expanding capacity, and improving access for uninsured adults in rural and underserved communities. Assisting with program operations, workflows, and timelines to ensure efficient delivery of expansion activities across multiple provider sites. Ensuring full compliance with federal award requirements, reporting standards, performance measures, and fiscal guidelines. Developing, monitoring, and managing program budgets, contracts, and funding allocations related to expansion activities. Collecting, analyzing, and reporting program data to track progress, identify gaps, and drive evidence-based improvements. Build and maintain strong partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, state agencies, and other stakeholders. Preparing and submitting required federal and state reports, progress updates, and documentation for audits or program reviews. Recommending and implementing policies, procedures, and system improvements to strengthen the Safety Net infrastructure and ensure sustainable growth. Presenting program updates to executive leadership, boards, legislative bodies, and community forums. Education & Experience Requirements for Jr Project Manager position: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in public health, health administration, healthcare management, nursing, public policy, business administration, information systems, or a related field. A master's degree in public health (MPH), health administration (MHA), public policy, or a related discipline is preferred and may substitute for some experience requirements. Demonstrated experience (preferably 3-5 years or more) in public health program management, healthcare operations, clinical program coordination, or management of health technology initiatives. Experience leading multi-stakeholder projects involving health systems, rural clinics, or community-based organizations. Background in grant-funded program administration, including reporting, budgeting, compliance, and federal or state program requirements. Experience with telehealth, specialty care coordination, or technology enabled provider to provider services in or with rural or underserved populations is highly desirable. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills, and be able to work under pressure. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other applications as needed. Benefits Include:
