Job Description

A leading, employee-owned design firm with a strong reputation in K-12 educational design is looking to add a Project Manager to its San Jose team. With a consistent pipeline of school projects and long-standing client relationships, this role offers the opportunity to step into a visible leadership position within a well-supported studio. Responsibilities Oversee the full lifecycle of K-12 projects, from early planning through construction administration Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and staffing to ensure successful delivery Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships throughout the project Lead coordination efforts across internal teams, consultants, and regulatory agencies Ensure high-quality documentation, design consistency, and compliance with applicable codes and standards Review project deliverables including drawings, RFIs, change orders, and reports Guide and mentor team members, supporting both project execution and professional growth Contribute to project pursuits, including proposals and client presentations as needed Qualifications Professional degree in Architecture or related field 7+ years of experience, with proven experience managing projects Strong background in K-12 / education work (California, DSA experience highly preferred) Ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and drive projects forward independently Solid understanding of project financials, contracts, and consultant coordination Strong communication and client-facing skills Benefits Competitive base salary, depending on experience Performance-based bonus + employee ownership/equity component Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision) 401(k) and long-term financial growth opportunities 3-2 hybrid work schedule (San Jose office) with strong flexibility Robust support for licensure and ongoing professional development Job Alerts Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles Heavy Civil Project Engineer•Boise, ID
