Lead Project Manager (Support Freight) - Hybrid (St. Louis, Mo) - Contract to Hire

Lead Project Manager (Enterprise Agile & AI Delivery) Overview We are seeking a highly strategic Lead Project Manager to drive enterprise-level programs and portfolios, leading Agile delivery at scale while championing AI-driven project management practices . This role will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver complex initiatives, optimize performance, and align technology investments with business strategy. What You'll Do Lead and manage enterprise-wide programs and project portfolios , ensuring delivery of measurable business value Drive Agile transformation at scale (SAFe, LeSS, or similar frameworks) across multiple teams and departments Develop and execute portfolio strategies, roadmaps, and governance frameworks Provide executive-level reporting on program performance, risks, and strategic initiatives Partner with business and IT leadership to align technology investments with organizational goals Oversee multi-vendor programs , managing dependencies across development, QA, and business teams Leverage data, analytics, and AI-driven insights to optimize delivery, forecasting, and resource allocation Lead enterprise planning activities including PI Planning, portfolio Kanban, and milestone tracking Establish and monitor KPIs, OKRs, and delivery metrics across the portfolio Mentor and guide Project Managers, driving continuous improvement and Agile best practices What You Bring 7+ years of progressive experience in project/program management , including enterprise-level initiatives 5+ years leading Agile programs at scale (SAFe or equivalent) Strong experience with portfolio management, governance, and cross-functional leadership Exposure to AI, data analytics, or digital transformation initiatives Proven ability to communicate with executive stakeholders and influence decision-making Experience managing complex, multi-vendor environments Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications PMP certification and SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or similar Agile certification Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or enterprise Agile platforms Background in cloud, data, or AI-driven environments Experience leading Agile Centers of Excellence or transformation initiatives Why Join Us Opportunity to lead high-impact, enterprise-wide initiatives Influence strategic direction and technology investments Work at the forefront of Agile transformation and AI-driven delivery Collaborative environment with strong executive visibility

Pay:

$60.00 - $70.00 per hour
