Job Description

Join our team as a Low Voltage Project Manager at Auxitium. As a Low Voltage Project Manager you will play a pivotal role responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the successful execution of low voltage projects in commercial environments. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, leadership abilities, and effective communication to ensure the delivery of high-quality, on-time, and within-budget projects..
Responsibilities:
1.
Project Planning and Strategy:
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that include detailed schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Establish project milestones and key performance indicators to track progress and success.

Team Leadership and Coordination:
  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of low voltage technicians, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Assign tasks, set clear expectations, and monitor team performance to ensure tasks are completed on time and according to quality standards.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages communication, problem-solving, and knowledge sharing.

Budget and Resource Management:
  • Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure adherence to financial targets.
  • Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.

Client Communication and Relationship Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication to address inquiries, concerns, and project updates.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed their requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and build strong, lasting client relationships.

Technical Oversight and Quality Assurance:
  • Demonstrate expertise in low voltage systems, including structured cabling, security systems, fire alarms, audiovisual equipment, and more.
  • Oversee system design, ensuring it aligns with industry standards and client needs.
  • Implement rigorous quality control processes, conduct inspections, and coordinate testing to verify system functionality and performance.

Risk Management:
  • Identify potential project risks and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them.
  • Create contingency plans to address unexpected challenges and maintain project timelines.
7.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and client communications.
  • Generate comprehensive project reports detailing achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
8.
Project Closeout:
  • Ensure a successful project closeout by coordinating final testing, client walkthroughs, and system training.
  • Facilitate the smooth handover of project deliverables to clients and provide ongoing support as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Prior project management, or a related field; relevant certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or CTS are advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of project management experience, with a focus on low voltage / Access Control systems within commercial construction.
  • In-depth knowledge of low voltage technologies, BICSI industry standards, codes, and best practices.
  • Proven track record in successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate, guide, and inspire project teams.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and collaboration tools.
  • Adaptability to changing project demands, ability to prioritize tasks, and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Commitment to safety protocols, guidelines, and the promotion of a safe work culture.
