Job Summary Manages multiple strategic operations projects working closely with program managers, project managers, business analysts and business leaders to improve operational performance to meet business requirements. Leads in the design, development and implementation of process and technology solutions. Conducts quantitative and qualitative analysis and assessment of current operations, processes and performance. Manages a team of project managers and business analysts responsible for high priority operational performance improvement initiatives. Oversees a portfolio of projects to include concurrent project plans/timelines, monitoring and reporting status, progress and areas of risk in relation to established project objectives, requirements and resourcing.
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field; or equivalent experienceo 5+ years' experience in project management and facilitating complex projects/teams 4+ years' experience in business analysis, process improvement, and/or consulting Operations, Managed Care, Finance, and/or Medical Management experience in a healthcare environment Management experience to include supervising, training and coaching staff Demonstrated success in collaborating with internal and external resources Experience in process and program improvement and business and operational planning Experience in delivering quality and efficiency gains as a result of process and program improvement project management Experience in leading multiple projects simultaneously Experience preparing presentation and reports Preferred Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related fieldo 5+ years' experience managing projects at the C-suite level PMP or similar certification 5+ years' experience in business analysis, process improvement, and/or consultingo IT systems and management experience call center operations experience Experience and knowledge of the VA health system and/or Military Health System Key Responsibilities Leads multiple complex projects and/or teams, applying project management tools and methodologies. Prepares detailed qualitative and quantitative assessments of processes and programs that result in measurable quality, efficiency and effectiveness improvement recommendations and outcomes Oversees the development and implementation of complex project planning documents using software programs, including process flow diagrams, work plans, timelines and Gantt charts. Creates status reports and provides regular updates to leadership. Models effective leadership skills, communicates sensitively with others about their areas of responsibility. Collaborates with internal and external technology business partners, leaders and subject matter experts to produce desired results.. Delegates project tasks. Provides leadership to direct and indirect reports. Coach and provide feedback to affect desired performance. . Prepares and analyzes detailed business plans including cost benefit analysis for medium and long-term objectives. Trains staff on program objectives, process models and analytical tools.
