How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:
This position will be a combination of onsite and remote days per week.
HOURS:
Primarily Monday•Friday; 8:00 a.m.•5:00 p.m. with other hours as needed. The Manager, CVI Clinical Informatics oversees operational and programmatic activities supporting CVI clinical informatics services. This role provides leadership, staff development, and process improvement to ensure effective delivery of technology-enabled healthcare solutions.
The Manager, Clinical Informatics:
Manages, coordinates, and monitors daily activities of staff and departmental deliverables. Provides coaching, resolves issues, and supports team members, leadership, and organizational priorities. Serves as a subject matter expert and primary escalation point for staff and operational concerns. Interfaces directly with customers to resolve concerns and exceed service expectations. Fosters a positive team environment and supports programs that promote quality, satisfaction, and service excellence. Collaborates with internal leadership and external stakeholders on projects, system changes, and operational initiatives. Oversees day-to-day operations including staff supervision and resource allocation to achieve departmental goals. Maintains collaborative relationships across departments including HR Training, TSG, and other operational areas. Monitors and evaluates key performance metrics such as staff engagement and productivity, implementing improvement plans as needed. Develops, implements, and ensures adherence to departmental policies and procedures. Provides ongoing feedback, training, and performance management to support employee productivity and development. Manages multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment at both individual and team levels. Develops and manages budget planning, monitors variances, and implements corrective actions. Leads and facilitates team problem-solving, planning processes, and operational improvements. Oversees hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluation of staff. Leads disciplinary actions and supports staff development through coaching and performance planning. Communicates effectively with stakeholders through structured forums and ongoing updates. Prepares and delivers reports, presentations, and project updates to various audiences. Coordinates with internal and external partners regarding service requests, downtime communication, and issue resolution. Applies analytical expertise and knowledge of IT and health analytics operations to solve complex problems. Uses independent judgment and innovative thinking to address operational challenges. Supports workforce planning and contributes to future organizational staffing strategies. Ensures compliance with operational, regulatory, and safety procedures across care settings. Participates in on-call, after-hours, and occasional travel requirements as needed.
What We Require:
Education:
Bachelor's degree required or 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of IT or clinical informatics experience required. Licensure, Certification, and/or
Registration:
None.
Other Minimum Qualifications:
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Demonstrated leadership, presentation, and problem-solving abilities. Experience with change management, risk management, project planning, and team leadership required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Visio required. Preferred certifications include ANCC Nursing Informatics, PMI, HIMSS, or Epic certifications.
