Job Summary:
The Project Controls Specialist is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and budgeting of construction projects. They will work with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop project plans, track progress, and identify and mitigate risks. They will also prepare reports and presentations to keep stakeholders informed of project status. This is a challenging and rewarding job that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
Cost Control o Develop and manage project budgets and cost baselines o Monitor actual costs vs planned costs o Forecast estimate to completion (EAC) o Track commitments, Invoices and accruals o Identify cost overruns and savings opportunities o Progress Measurement and Reporting o Track physical progress of Engineering, procurement and construction o Earned value management and reporting (EVM) o Prepare and manage KPI dashboards for management o Weekly/monthly progress reports o Variance analysis (schedule and cost Change Management o Evaluate impact of scope changes on cost and schedule o Maintain change logs and approvals o Assess claims and variations o Update baseline when approved Risk Management o Identify project risks: commercial and schedule o Quantitative risk analysis o Develop mitigation plans o Maintain risk register o Contract and Commercial support o Support procurement and contract strategy o Monitor project/contractor commercial performance o Evaluate contractor claims o Payment milestone verification
Requirements:
