Project Coordinator Job Description The Project Coordinator supports the purchasing organization by providing critical administrative and project coordination support across new program launches and ongoing initiatives. This role focuses on keeping projects on schedule through strong organization, clear communication, and consistent follow-up with cross-functional teams. The coordinator acts as a liaison between Purchasing, Engineering, Marketing, and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution of program deliverables, including large-scale service part launches and new program rollouts. Responsibilities Support the rollout of new programs and services, including large-scale initiatives and service part launches. Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure programs remain on schedule. Maintain up-to-date project status reports and communicate progress to stakeholders. Coordinate activities and information flow across Purchasing, Engineering, Marketing, suppliers, and other cross-functional teams. Schedule project and status meetings, develop structured agendas, and distribute materials in advance. Document meeting notes, decisions, and next steps, and share them with relevant stakeholders. Create, organize, and maintain SharePoint sites and project documentation to support program transparency and accessibility. Track action items assigned to buyers and other stakeholders, and follow up to ensure timely completion. Lead and coordinate cross-functional project meetings to align teams and resolve issues. Update SharePoint sites and tracking tools regularly with the latest project information and metrics. Manage meeting logistics, including scheduling, invitations, and follow-up communications. Support program launch activities by coordinating tasks, monitoring readiness, and assisting with status reporting. Support the tracking and rollout of new service initiatives by maintaining documentation, schedules, and reporting tools. Essential Skills Proven project coordination experience supporting cross-functional teams. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with pivot tables. Experience using SharePoint for creating, organizing, and maintaining project sites and documentation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience working with purchasing or purchase order processes. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and priorities. Bachelor's degree required. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience coordinating with Purchasing, Engineering, Marketing, and supplier teams. Ability to lead cross-functional meetings and drive follow-up on action items. Comfort working in a task-oriented, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, reporting, and tracking. Ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively in a team-oriented culture. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Dearborn, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
