What You'll Do As a Project Coordinator , you'll play a vital role in supporting project teams and driving the successful execution of commercial construction projects.
You will:
Support Project Teams:
Coordinate activities with project managers and superintendents, maintain schedules, and ensure alignment on goals and deliverables.
Manage Documentation:
Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, permits, and daily reports. Facilitate clear communication among clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
Coordinate Resources:
Assist in procurement and scheduling of subcontractors, materials, and equipment. Support the buyout process and help ensure resources are available to meet project milestones.
Subcontractor Outreach & Engagement:
Proactively identify, cold call, and solicit new subcontractors to participate in TrueNorth projects. Build rapport with potential partners and expand our network. Advocate for
Safety & Quality:
Promote and uphold safety standards on job sites. Support quality control efforts to ensure work meets or exceeds specifications and client expectations.
Solve Problems & Create Value:
Proactively identify challenges and contribute solutions that enhance project value, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Build Relationships:
Foster positive relationships with all project stakeholders, modeling professionalism, fairness, and TrueNorth's core values.
Who You Are Organized Project Supporter:
2+ years of experience in commercial construction, including tenant improvement and ground-up projects. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Relationship Builder:
Enjoys reaching out to new people and thrives in conversations with unfamiliar contacts. Comfortable with cold calling and skilled at building relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
Collaborative Communicator:
Skilled at building strong relationships with clients, team members, and partners. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-Oriented Coordinator:
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience with project documentation and scheduling.
Tech-Savvy Professional:
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and project management software.
Safety & Quality Advocate:
Committed to upholding safety standards and delivering quality results.
Travel-Ready:
Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites; valid driver's license required. Physical Demands This role involves work at construction sites (indoors and outdoors), requiring standing, walking, climbing, and occasionally lifting up to 75 pounds. Extended hours (up to 12 hours/day) and significant driving may be required to meet project deadlines. Dexterity for computer and office equipment use is essential. Why TrueNorth?
