Full-Time or Part-Time (Grant/Contract Funded)Position SummaryManhattan Strategy Group (MSG) is working on a proposal and seeking experienced education leaders to serve as Project Directors for federal technical assistance and capacity-building centers supporting state, regional, local, and/or tribal educational agencies (SEAs, REAs, LEAs, and/or TEAs), schools, and other education stakeholders.
Project Directors lead complex, multi-partner initiatives that provide evidence-based technical assistance, professional learning, implementation support, research translation, and organizational capacity-building services designed to improve educational opportunities, educator practice, and student outcomes. These projects may include national, regional, or content-focused education technical assistance centers funded by the U.S. Department of Education and other federal agencies.
The Project Director serves as the primary strategic, operational, and client-facing leader responsible for ensuring high-quality implementation, strong client relationships, effective collaboration with partner organizations, and successful achievement of project outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide overall leadership, strategic direction, and day-to-day management for large-scale education technical assistance and capacity-building projects.
Serve as the primary point of contact with federal program officers, SEAs, partner organizations, and other stakeholders.
Lead development and implementation of client-driven service plans aligned to State priorities, evidence-based practices, and identified educational needs.
Oversee delivery of universal, targeted, and intensive technical assistance services, including coaching, facilitation, strategic planning, professional learning, communities of practice, and implementation support.
Ensure projects utilize evidence-based approaches, adult learning principles, implementation science, continuous improvement methodologies, and performance management systems.
Direct project staffing, subcontractor management, budgeting, quality assurance, risk management, and reporting activities.
Coordinate with Regional Educational Laboratories (RELs), federal technical assistance providers, national centers, content centers, and external partners to reduce duplication and strengthen service delivery.
Lead development and monitoring of project logic models, milestones, outcomes, performance indicators, and evaluation activities.
