Job Description

Project Manager
  • Solar & Generator Installations Position Overview The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing all administrative, regulatory, and scheduling aspects of solar and generator installation projects from initiation through completion.
This role ensures permits, utility interconnection, inspections, and customer communications are handled efficiently to support safe, compliant, and timely project delivery. Key Responsibilities Permitting, Interconnection & Compliance
  • Gather and submit all required documentation for solar permits, generator installation permits, utility interconnection applications, and NYSERDA incentive programs.
  • Compile and verify property details, site plans, survey maps, insurance certificates, and utility information.
  • Research and confirm Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements, including zoning codes and municipal regulations. Utility & Inspection Coordination
  • Coordinate with utilities for interconnection and generator tie-ins.
  • Manage electric account details, meter numbers, and disconnect/reconnect scheduling.
  • Coordinate gas loads, propane systems, and fuel connections for generators.
  • Schedule electrical and municipal inspections, including final approvals. Project Scheduling & Field Coordination
  • Submit Dig Safe requests for groundwork and trenching.
  • Coordinate schedules with crews, inspectors, and utilities.
  • Track milestones and proactively resolve delays. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work with sales and engineering teams to ensure accurate documentation and project scope.
  • Utilize Salesforce to track project progress and requirements. Customer Communication
  • Communicate with customers to schedule installations and inspections.
  • Provide updates on timelines and approvals.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the project. Project Close-Out
  • Compile and deliver final documentation packages, including inspections, warranties, and system paperwork.
  • Confirm completion requirements for utility approval and incentive programs. Qualifications
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Experience in solar, generator, electrical, or construction industries preferred
  • Knowledge of permitting, AHJ requirements, and interconnection processes
  • Familiarity with NYSERDA programs is a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce or CRM tools
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously We Offer

Work Environment We foster a casual, friendly work environment intended to be welcoming to employees and customers alike. This role can be primarily remote if desired, with the majority of responsibilities able to be performed from a home office. Dedicated office space is provided, and office presence is typically only required for a small number of scheduled weekly meetings and occasional in-person coordination. The position involves regular communication with internal teams, customers, utilities, and municipalities, with occasional site visits as needed.

$50,000.00
