Job Description
Project Manager - Owner's Representative (High-Impact Role) We're looking for an experienced Project Manager - Owner's Representative to join a highly visible technical team managing a national portfolio of design and construction projects across Healthcare, Life Sciences, and advanced Manufacturing environments. This is a unique opportunity to operate on the owner side, influencing decisions from concept through delivery while working on complex, mission-critical facilities that must remain operational during construction. Why This Role Stands Out + Be the voice of the owner on technically complex projects + Work across high-profile, multi-site programs nationwide + Get hands-on with HVAC, boiler systems, and critical building infrastructure + Play a key role in driving strategy, aligning stakeholders, and solving real-world problems + Join a fast-paced environment with high impact and visibility What You'll Be Doing + Act as the Owner's Representative, leading projects from early planning through design, construction, and closeout + Manage and align cross-functional teams including stakeholders, A&E firms, contractors, and vendors + Drive project execution—owning scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety + Lead meetings, communicate updates, and ensure all teams stay aligned and accountable + Provide technical oversight on HVAC systems, boiler plants, and building infrastructure + Partner with procurement to develop and manage RFP/RFQ processes + Conduct site visits nationwide and stay engaged with active project execution + Identify risks early and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track What We're Looking For + Experience working as an Owner's Rep or client-side Project Manager + Strong background managing consultants, contractors, and external teams + Hands-on experience with HVAC, mechanical systems, boiler plants, or MEP infrastructure + Comfortable reviewing designs, understanding technical issues, and supporting commissioning + Experience delivering projects in operational or regulated environments (healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing) + Strong project controls mindset—schedules, budgets, and risk management Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field + 10+ years of experience in project management within design and construction + Proven track record working on complex, multi-site or national programs + Strong financial acumen and estimating experience + Proficiency with Microsoft Project and standard PM tools + Willingness to travel 35-50% nationally Work Environment You'll split your time between office coordination and on-site project work across the U.S., supporting projects in live, operational facilities. This role requires adaptability, strong communication, and the ability to manage overlapping design and construction phases in a fast-moving environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Sacramento, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $64.00 - $64.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
