1) word copy of resume 2) 2-3 professional references 3) 4-5 brief bullet points highlighting technical qualifications Job Description The Project Manager will support the Design and Fabrication Project Management Team by developing and maintaining a detailed project schedule, ensuring all project milestones are tracked for on-time delivery. The role involves managing contract documents, setting and managing client expectations, interfacing with engineering leads for schedule compliance, and working with project engineers to ensure successful design outputs as approved by the client. Additionally, the Project Manager will review project submittal and fabrication drawings for adherence to design intent, meet budgetary objectives, and generate change orders with customer approval. Responsibilities Support the Design and Fabrication Project Management Team. Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule with tracked milestones. Manage and ensure completion and proper filing of contract documents. Set and manage client expectations effectively. Interface with engineering leads to ensure schedule compliance. Collaborate with project engineers for successful client-approved design outputs. Review project submittal and fabrication drawings for design intent adherence. Meet budgetary objectives. Generate and obtain customer approval for change orders. Essential Skills Project management skills including scheduling, budgeting, and milestones. Vendor management experience, particularly as the primary point of contact. 2-3+ years of experience in scheduling, budgeting, project tracking, and vendor/client management. Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel. Experience in a manufacturing setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, and architecture. Proficiency in Smart Sheets, MS Excel, and MS Office. Strong skills in negotiation and client management. Work Environment The first month will be 100% onsite, followed by a hybrid schedule of 2 days work from home. The Project Management Team consists of 7 total members, combining the Design and Fabrication teams. The company offers flexibility to work from home after training and is known as the largest building materials manufacturer in the US. Projects include airports and train stations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Commerce, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $44.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
