Job Title:
Project Manager (Power Delivery) - Data Analytics Job Description This role leads and coordinates a portfolio of strategic initiatives within a Data Analytics organization, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives. The Project Manager acts as the central point of coordination between business stakeholders, technical teams, leadership, and external partners, driving project planning, risk management, and clear communication. The position requires a highly organized and proactive professional who can manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities while providing transparent visibility into progress and performance. Responsibilities Lead and manage multiple concurrent projects across the Data Analytics function, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Monitor project performance against defined scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives, and take corrective action when needed. Identify project risks, dependencies, and resource constraints, and implement effective mitigation strategies. Ensure adherence to project governance, reporting standards, and change management processes across all initiatives. Support project and portfolio prioritization efforts to align work with strategic business objectives. Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, leadership, and external partners to ensure clear communication and alignment. Facilitate meetings, workshops, and planning sessions to drive alignment, capture requirements, and clarify expectations. Document key decisions, action items, and outcomes from meetings, and ensure timely follow-through and closure. Provide consistent status updates and executive-level reporting on project health, risks, issues, and milestones. Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to support collaboration and project success. Coordinate deliverables, timelines, and dependencies with external vendors and consultants. Track vendor performance and ensure their work aligns with project objectives and quality standards. Resolve vendor-related issues and escalate concerns when necessary to maintain project progress. Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and expenditures to ensure financial discipline. Support resource planning and allocation across projects, balancing competing demands and priorities. Identify staffing needs, potential resourcing gaps, and conflicts, and recommend solutions to leadership. Assist leadership in project planning and investment decisions by providing data-driven insights and recommendations. Promote project management best practices and standardization across the Data Analytics organization. Develop and maintain project templates, reporting tools, and documentation standards to improve consistency and efficiency. Identify opportunities to enhance execution, collaboration, and communication within and across project teams. Support the adoption and effective use of new processes, tools, and technologies related to project and portfolio management. Collaborate with engineering and project engineering teams to support design, estimation, document control, and project scheduling activities as needed. Coordinate change orders and project documentation to ensure accurate records and controlled project changes. Essential Skills 5+ years of project management experience in technology, analytics, software delivery, or business transformation. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously in a complex environment. Strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills. Demonstrated expertise in project management, including project planning, scheduling, and coordination. Experience working within Data Analytics or data analysis environments. Ability to identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and resource constraints. Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear status updates and executive-level reporting. Ability to build and maintain effective cross-functional and external partner relationships. Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Analytics, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with change order management and project coordination in technical or engineering contexts. Experience in engineering, project engineering, or related technical disciplines. Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design tools. Experience with design, estimation, and document control processes in project environments. Exposure to project management within power delivery or related infrastructure domains. Comfort working with data analytics tools and processes to support reporting and decision-making. Ability to develop and maintain templates, reporting tools, and documentation standards. Experience supporting adoption of new project management processes, tools, and technologies. Work Environment This position is based onsite at a downtown headquarters location, with a hybrid schedule of four days in the office and one optional day remote each week. The work environment is highly collaborative, involving close interaction with business stakeholders, technical teams, leadership, and external vendors. The role operates within a Data Analytics organization and may involve working with engineering and design tools such as AutoCAD, as well as project management and reporting technologies. The setting emphasizes structured project governance, clear communication, and consistent documentation, supporting a professional office atmosphere focused on delivering strategic initiatives. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Birmingham, AL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
