Hybrid- Candidates must be located within 50 miles of Washington, D.
Background :
In response to NIH's strategic direction to streamline and automate business processes, reduce reliance on legacy systems, and enhance workforce readiness, The Software Engineering Branch (SEB), within the NIAID Office of Cyber Infrastructure and Computational Biology (OCICB), is actively expanding its capabilities in native mobile application development. This includes maintaining and enhancing existing mobile applications, developing mobile versions of key portfolio applications, and creating mobile-first solutions to address emerging requirements. Currently, SEB maintains mobile applications and is committed to further expanding this portfolio to support NIH's modernization efforts, deliver high-quality services, and advance NIH's mission through optimized, resilient, and modern technology solutions.Required Skills:
(Must have knowledge of and familiarity with- Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 (or later
- Microsoft SQL Server (2019 or later
- C# Programming Language
- Azure DevOps for Project Management and Configuration Management
- Git for Source Control of new Applications
- React Native and Expo for mobile front-end development
- React.js or Vue.js for front-end developmentQualifications
- 6+ years of project management experience
- 5+ years of experience in Agile .NET implementations
- In-depth understanding of technology and technical aspects of projects
- Ability to comprehend complex software designs and databases
- Ability to anticipate technical and business challenges to align products with project goals.
