The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects involving fiber optics, structured cabling, inside plant (ISP), outside plant (OSP), network deployments, and low-voltage infrastructure while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and according to customer specifications. The Project Manager will coordinate with customers, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments to ensure successful execution across all phases of deployment. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end execution of Data Center and Wireline infrastructure projects. Coordinate project schedules, manpower, materials, and logistics. Lead kickoff meetings, progress reviews, and customer updates. Oversee ISP/OSP construction, fiber installation, structured cabling, and network deployments. Ensure compliance with project scope, engineering drawings, quality standards, and safety regulations. Track project milestones, budgets, labor hours, and overall profitability. Work closely with field supervisors, construction managers, and technicians to resolve operational issues. Manage subcontractors and vendor performance. Review and approve change orders, RFIs, purchase requests, and invoicing. Monitor project risks and proactively develop mitigation plans. Maintain project documentation including reports, schedules, closeout packages, and as-builts. Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain strong client relationships. Support recruiting and staffing efforts for project manpower requirements when needed. Coordinate permitting, access requirements, and site readiness activities. Drive quality control and adherence to company operational standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field preferred. 5+ years of project management experience in Data Center, Telecom, Fiber, or Wireline industry.
Strong understanding of:
Fiber optic infrastructure ISP/OSP deployments Structured cabling systems Data Center environments Low-voltage construction Network turn-up and testing Experience managing large-scale infrastructure or hyperscale data center projects preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, and project tracking tools. Ability to read blueprints, construction drawings, and fiber schematics. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Experience managing budgets, schedules, and customer deliverables. OSHA knowledge and commitment to workplace safety. Ability to travel as required. Preferred Experience Hyperscale Data Center deployment experience Fiber splicing and testing knowledge Experience with major telecom carriers or general contractors PMP certification preferred Familiarity with BICSI standards and telecom infrastructure best practices Key Skills Project Planning & Scheduling Team Leadership Budget Management Client Communication Risk Management Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination Fiber & Cabling Infrastructure Knowledge Quality Assurance Construction Management Problem Solving Work Environment Combination of office, remote, and active construction/data center site environments.
