The Project Manager role works directly with the CEO to drive execution of the company's highest-priority initiatives. This role is ideal for a strong candidate who can turn strategy into action—bringing structure, urgency, and accountability to complex, cross-functional projects. Success in this role means ensuring the right people are aligned, risks are managed early, and key milestones are delivered on timeEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end delivery of CEO-sponsored strategic and operational initiatives Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and KPIs Drive cross-functional alignment across operations, engineering, finance, regulatory, and commercial teams Track execution, identify risks/issues, remove blockers, and manage scope changes Provide clear executive-level reporting (status, risks, decisions needed) Improve internal project management processes, tools, and governance cadence Limited travel Work schedule commensurate with candidate location Education and/orWork Experience Requirements:
7+ years of project management experience leading complex cross-functional projects Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities with speed and precision Highly Skilled in PM tools (Microsoft Project, Asana, or related platforms) Experience in biofuels, renewable energy, chemicals, industrial manufacturing, or energy preferred Bachelor's Degree required in the following or associated disciplines- Chemical Engineering, Biotech, Bioengineering, Renewable Energy, Ag Science Masters Degree/MBA a plus- Project Mgmt., Energy Mgmt., Sustainability, Environmental Engineering Behavioral Competencies Executive presence can brief CEO/board-level audiences High ownership; thrives in ambiguity Structured problem solving (root cause, tradeoffs, decision, action) Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills Ability to influence without authorityPhysical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly via all communication platforms
Pay:
$125,000.00 - $165,000.00 per yearBenefits:
