Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in DSA (Division of the State Architect) K-12 projects to lead architectural and construction administration efforts for public school facilities. The ideal candidate will manage project delivery from proposal through closeout, coordinate with educators, district stakeholders, consultants and contractors, ensure DSA compliance, control budgets and schedules, and provide design and technical leadership using Revit and contemporary architectural practices. A licensed architect (AIA/NCARB) or equivalent experience is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Lead project delivery for K-12 DSA-regulated projects from pre-design and programming through construction administration and closeout. Prepare and manage project proposals, scopes, schedules, and budgets; monitor costs and change orders to maintain financial performance. Coordinate and manage multi-disciplinary design teams and consultants, ensuring clear deliverables and integration with Revit models and BIM workflows. Prepare and review DSA submittals, respond to DSA comments, and ensure compliance with DSA regulations, state codes, and accessibility requirements. Serve as primary client contact for school districts, facilitating stakeholder meetings, presentations, and approvals. Oversee construction administration including RFI review, shop drawing coordination, site observations, and punchlist management to ensure quality and adherence to contract documents. Manage project documentation, schedules, and reporting to keep teams and clients informed of progress, risks, and milestones. Mentor junior staff, promote best practices in K-12 architecture and project management, and support business development activities including proposal preparation and client outreach. Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or related field. Licensed Architect (AIA) and registration with NCARB preferred; significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of licensure. 5+ years of project management experience on K-12 or public school projects with demonstrated knowledge of DSA processes and requirements. Proven experience with Revit and BIM coordination; proficiency in construction documentation and detail development. Strong financial acumen with experience preparing and managing project budgets, cost estimates, and proposals. Excellent communication, client-relations, and presentation skills; ability to lead client meetings and coordinate multiple stakeholders. Proven ability to manage schedules, prioritize tasks, and lead project teams to on-time, on-budget delivery. Familiarity with California DSA procedures, state accessibility standards, and public procurement/contracting for school districts is a plus. Benefits Full Benefits Package
