Job Title:
Project Manager Job Description This role supports the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects within a highly regulated environment. Working closely with the Project Chief Engineer, Project Manager, and technical leads, you ensure process compliance, milestone tracking, resource coordination, and clear communication across multidisciplinary teams. You play a key role in organizing project activities, consolidating technical data, and maintaining accurate documentation to keep complex engineering programs on track. Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager and engineers with planning and organizing project tasks, deliverables, and schedules for engineering programs. Track project progress, maintain action item lists, and support the preparation of regular status reports for stakeholders. Collect, consolidate, and present technical and project data for management review and decision-making. Facilitate effective internal and external communication between cross-functional teams, technical staff, management, and customers. Ensure all required project documentation is created, maintained, and stored in accordance with established company processes. Monitor task completion, identify potential issues or delays, and promptly flag risks to the Project Chief Engineer or appropriate team members. Support the preparation, review, and distribution of project plans, schedules, and progress reports. Maintain compliance with established engineering and project management processes throughout the project lifecycle. Assist with resource tracking and related administrative tasks, including updating resource assignments, timekeeping, and material requests. Participate in technical and project meetings, accurately documenting meeting minutes, decisions, and action items. Support risk identification, tracking, and escalation activities as directed by the Project Chief Engineer or engineering leads. Assist in organizing and coordinating technical reviews, audits, and configuration management activities. Help coordinate communication, logistics, and scheduling for project-related travel and meetings as needed. Support adherence to company processes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, including airworthiness and quality standards. Help track completion of required project milestones and deliverables, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a relevant technical field. Typically 2+ years of experience in engineering, project coordination, or a related project support role. Experience supporting multidisciplinary projects involving cross-functional teams. Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies. Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, and data consolidation. Ability to manage and maintain engineering and project documentation accurately. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with technical staff, management, and customers. Attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset to support compliance with engineering and project procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience participating in projects within regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, automotive, space, or similar environments. Knowledge of engineering documentation practices and configuration management processes. Interest in or coursework related to project management fundamentals. Technical engineering degree with a strong foundation in engineering principles. Familiarity with airworthiness, quality standards, or other regulatory frameworks. Experience supporting projects in avionics, defense aerospace, defense contracts, or other regulated technical domains. Comfort working with multidisciplinary engineering teams in complex project environments. Work Environment You will join a growing team of Technical Project Managers supporting multiple active engineering programs. Rapid growth has created demand for an additional Technical Project Manager dedicated to a long-term Boeing-related project with work planned through 2029, providing stability and the opportunity to see complex programs through their full lifecycle. The role is based onsite in Twinsburg, OH. The organization typically allows full-time employees up to two remote days per week without additional approvals; however, for this position, the first few months are expected to be primarily onsite to ensure thorough onboarding, strong collaboration with engineering teams, and alignment with established processes. You will work in a structured, process-driven engineering environment that emphasizes compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including airworthiness and quality standards. The work involves regular interaction with cross-functional technical teams, participation in technical and project meetings, and use of tools such as Microsoft Project and Excel for planning and tracking. The culture supports collaboration, clear communication, and disciplined project execution in a regulated industry setting. Conversion to full‑time employment is possible at any point—before or after the three‑year mark—if headcount opens. This is consistent with recent precedent on the team. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Twinsburg, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $55.02/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
