Job Description

Description The Project Manager I role is responsible for overseeing and managing the successful execution of projects from initiation to completion. This role requires the ability to handle multiple project tasks, manage timelines, budgets, and resources, and work closely with various stakeholders to ensure projects meet their objectives. A strong focus on effective communication, problem-solving, and risk management is essential, along with ensuring alignment with company goals. This role is expected to independently manage projects with low to moderate complexity, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and demonstrate leadership within the project environment.
Essential Functions:
Creates and maintains project documentation, including project charter, project schedules, project files, and status reports Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, business owners, and project sponsors Analyzes business objectives and system requirements to define project scope, risks, and budgetary constraints Determines resource requirements and assembles the project team accordingly Develops project schedule and assigns individual responsibilities Provides work direction to the project team, including assignment and review of project work Tracks project cost, risks, resource requirements, and timelines Identifies project-related problems and implements identified solutions Generates project status reports and presents updates to key stakeholders and management Manages project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks Accountable for third-party performance and deliverables Continuously monitors project needs and conducts quality review, escalates scope, budget, quality, and timeline issues appropriately Utilizes and promotes the TAC project management methodology Qualifications Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required.

Equivalent work may be considered in lieu of a formal college degree. Candidates with relevant professional experience, skills, and accomplishments will be evaluated based on their ability to meet the core requirements of the role. Knowledge of the formal project management discipline Planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively resolve disputes and handle crisis with objectivity Experience developing and maintaining customer relations Excellent verbal/written communication and public speaking/presentation skills Experience interfacing and facilitating with technical groups and a non-technical customer base Experience managing cross-functional teams within a matrix organization Deadline-driven and process-oriented 1-3 years' experience as a Project Manager preferably within a PMO organization Proficiency using project planning tools such as Microsoft Project and other MS Office products.
