Job Title:
Project Manager - Kansas City Job Description We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager with a robust MEP technical background to join our team in Kansas City. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to manage multiple construction projects, focusing on major MEP equipment, HVAC , and roof replacements. You will work closely with a senior project manager to gain valuable training and experience. Responsibilities + Manage the development of project scope, schedule, and approved budget while ensuring superior client service. + Oversee multiple projects in various phases, from project identification through to financial closeout. + Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met. + Conduct weekly meetings and document project-related issues. + Prepare and update project status reports, process purchase orders and invoices, and maintain accurate documentation. + Lead project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and client teams, to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion. + Provide regular project updates on schedule, budget, and risk to the Team Lead or Regional Manager. + Develop risk management plans and lead teams through work authorization processes. Essential Skills + 6 years of relevant experience in project or construction management. + 2-3 years of experience in project administration or accounting positions. + Ability to prepare and track budgets with strong analytical skills. + Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with executive-level clients. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Capability to multitask and work independently or in a team. + Flexibility with work hours and travel as needed. + Demonstrate full accountability for end-to-end project management. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience. + Experience in construction management or real estate. + Understanding of business relocation technical requirements. + Familiarity with architectural drawings and space planning concepts. + Project Management experience in construction, commercial real estate, and MEP infrastructure. + Experience with PDS technology applications and vendor management. Work Environment This is a hybrid role, requiring 3-4 days in the office.
