Job Description

DuraShield is a full-service roofing company in Middleton, WI We focus on residential, multi-family and commercial roofing. We are looking for a detail oriented individual with a roofing and construction background to join our production department as a project manager. In this role, you will help ensure our projects run smoothly by meeting with installers to start projects and go over work orders, supervise installers, take in progress pics, be the point of contact with the customer during the project, making sure the quality of our workmanship is to our high standards, and performing small repairs and punch out items. Due to the nature of our business and seasonality, this position requires 40-50 hours per week during peak season. (April

Overview:
As a project manager at DuraShield Roofing, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in all roofing projects. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing quality control processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role requires a meticulous eye for detail, a strong understanding of roofing techniques, and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
Quality Control and Inspection:
Conduct regular inspections and audits of ongoing roofing projects to ensure compliance with quality standards. Identify areas of improvement in workmanship and provide constructive feedback to roofing crews.
Compliance and Safety Standards:
Ensure all projects adhere to relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Stay updated with changes in roofing standards and safety regulations, implementing necessary adjustments.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in quality control processes. Analyze quality-related data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Collaboration with
Operations:
Work closely with the Operations Manager to align quality assurance strategies with operational goals. Provide regular updates and reports on quality issues, project statuses, and improvement measures.
Customer Feedback and Resolution:
Monitor customer feedback related to quality and workmanship. Address and resolve quality-related customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, audits, and corrective actions. Prepare detailed reports on quality assurance activities and outcomes for management review.
Supplier Quality Management:
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of materials and supplies. Repair & Management
  • Inspect warranty claims and repairs.
  • Document warranty claims and locate issue and resolve
  • Make minor repairs on completed jobs and/or coordinate with subcontractors
Qualifications:
Proven experience in quality assurance, preferably in the roofing or construction industry. 2 years minimum roofing experience. Strong understanding of roofing processes, materials, and quality standards. Excellent observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively with teams and communicate effectively. Must have a clean driving record and pass a background check.
