Senior Project Controls Engineer About the Client Our client is a specialist project controls consultancy supporting some of the construction industry's most experienced contractors, owners, and operators. The business focuses on delivering high‑quality scheduling and project controls support on complex construction programmes, with an emphasis on programme certainty, cost control, and clear reporting. With over 20 years of experience delivering work on technically complex projects, the organisation operates across the US and Europe, supporting major programmes globally. About the Role Our client is seeking a Senior Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling support on a large‑scale data centre programme. The role works closely with client project managers, construction teams, and key stakeholders to develop, manage, and monitor CPM schedules and supporting project controls systems throughout the full project lifecycle. This is a key project team position offering strong long‑term growth opportunities. The role is hybrid , based in Saline, MI , operating on a one week on / one week off on‑site rotation. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and manage construction CPM schedules Review drawings, specifications, and contract documentation to produce accurate baseline programmes Carry out schedule updates with detailed reporting and narratives Analyse schedules and provide recommendations aligned with execution objectives Perform critical path and schedule impact analyses, identifying issues and corrective actions Conduct site walks to validate progress and support monthly reporting Review contractor progress and present findings to senior management Develop and track programme metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks Support cost and resource management and reporting Identify and assess schedule risks and impacts Clearly communicate project status, risks, and constraints Coordinate with project teams, clients, and external stakeholders Requirements Five or more years' experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within vertical construction Minimum two years' experience supporting data centre projects Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, project management, or a related discipline (may be waived with relevant industry experience) Strong proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical documentation Good understanding of construction methods and sequencing Experience developing and managing schedules for data centre construction projects Cost and resource management and reporting experience Familiarity with contractual requirements related to planning and scheduling Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment AACEI PSP and/or PMI‑SP certification preferred Benefits and Perks Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer matching Employer‑paid life and AD&D cover Optional life, accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity insurance Employee Assistance Programme Paid time off plus paid holidays Wellness initiatives Team events Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles Water/ Wastewater Project Manager•Gresham, OR
