Travel:
Remote with up to 30% local travel to customer sites in Raleigh, NC Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Project Manager with a strong technical background in systems integration and automation engineering. In this role, you will operate primarily from a dedicated home office, providing leadership and direction to cross-functional project teams. You will manage the entire project lifecycle for our clients in process-based, regulated industries across the greater Research Triangle Park (RTP) area. Key Responsibilities As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving project success from initiation through closure.
Your core duties will include:
Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
Coordinate directly with multiple internal and external stakeholders, clients, and vendors. Lead meetings, track action items, manage deliverables, and prioritise tasks
Lifecycle Management:
Oversee all project phases, including budget management, scope definition, resource allocation, procurement, risk assessment, and safety compliance
Estimates & Proposals:
Interface with customers and technical teams to determine requirements. Develop work breakdown structures (WBS) and utilise internal tools to generate accurate project estimates
Project Administration:
Maintain and update project progress using online management tools (e.g., Avaza, SharePoint, Microsoft Lists)
Financial Oversight:
Partner with the administrative team to review and approve weekly timesheets and assist with month-end invoice preparation to ensure billing accuracy
Education & Experience Degree:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering (or a closely related discipline). Equivalent proven work experience will be considered
Project Management:
5+ years of dedicated project management experience
Technical Background:
5+ years of experience in automation engineering, design, or systems integration. Worked with/or have knowledge of DCS, PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications
Industry Expertise:
Proven experience working within process-based industries (Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, or Food & Beverage) and validated/regulated environments Skills & Core Competencies Exceptional attention to detail and strong self-motivation Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects, prioritise workloads, and provide timely updates Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Interested or want to know more?
