Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Senior Project Manager . The Senior Project Manager reports to the CIP Project Supervisor. The primary duties of this position include: Manages projects from inception through planning, scoping, design, construction, and post-construction; Knowledge of standard municipal services or infrastructure in water and wastewater treatment processes, water distribution systems, wastewater collections systems, reclaimed water distribution systems, and stormwater; This position is intended to fulfill duties for numerous water and wastewater treatment plant projects currently within the CIP program; Prepares project updates to the CIP annual program update for assigned project area; Provides communication of project related information with local and other government officials, management, staff, contractors and the public; Supports right-of-way acquisition including ordering title reports, legal descriptions, appraisals and negotiations of fair market value with property owners and documentation of the process; Developing design and construction projects scopes of work administering and participating in vendor selection processes; Reviewing the project budget, processing expenditure requests and contract amendments, approving payments and confirming funding availability View Full Job Description Here The first review of applications will take place on June 8, 2026, then every other Monday thereafter through the duration of the posting. In addition to possessing the ability to live out our core and functional values daily, candidates must possess the following requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Project Management 5 years of Design or Construction Management 3 years of Project/Contract Management 1 year of Right-of-Way acquisition 2 years of Municipal experience preferred Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Licensing/Certifications :
Professional Engineers License or Architectural License and/or Project Management Certifications Water or Wastewater Operators Certification preferred, but not required. Current and Valid Arizona Driver's License.
HYBRID DESIGNATION
This position has been identified as an eligible position for a Hybrid work agreement. Modified work privileges are approved at the sole discretion of the department director; as such, the department reserves the right to modify or discontinue modified work arrangements at any point. Regardless of work location (Remote, On-Site, or Hybrid) Town of Gilbert employees are required to reside in the state of Arizona. This position has been designated as a Light work position that spends a majority of their workday in an office environment.
