Health Insurance•About the Role A leading organization in the healthcare insurance industry is seeking a Senior Project Manager•Readiness to lead complex, cross-departmental initiatives that support enterprise transformation and operational excellence. This role is critical in ensuring organizational readiness for strategic initiatives, regulatory compliance, product launches, and large-scale operational changes. This position partners closely with business, technology, and product stakeholders to identify readiness gaps, align cross-functional teams, and ensure the organization is fully prepared to implement and sustain change. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in healthcare—particularly within a payer environment—and a proven ability to manage large, complex programs in fast-paced and evolving environments. Job Description The Senior Project Manager is responsible for end-to-end project leadership, with a strong emphasis on readiness planning, execution, and delivery quality. This includes coordinating cross-functional efforts, managing dependencies, and ensuring alignment across business and technology teams to achieve successful outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead and manage complex, cross-functional programs with a focus on organizational readiness and successful delivery of strategic initiatives Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define project scope, milestones, resource needs, and readiness plans Develop and maintain critical paths, timelines, and milestones, adjusting as needed based on evolving business priorities Identify readiness gaps, risks, and dependencies, and drive mitigation strategies to ensure successful execution Coordinate and synchronize efforts across business readiness, communications, process design, and technology delivery teams Monitor and report on project progress, including MVP delivery, to key stakeholders and leadership forums Support transformation programs by ensuring readiness deliverables are tracked and achieved Facilitate cross-team alignment across multiple divisions, highlighting and resolving risks or gaps Hold teams accountable for deliverables, remove obstacles, and serve as an escalation point when needed Manage project financials, including budget tracking, forecasting, and resolving discrepancies Support business case development in partnership with program managers and cross-functional stakeholders Lead stakeholder communication efforts, including executive-level updates and reporting Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to drive successful project outcomes Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience managing complex, cross-departmental programs Proven experience leading cross-functional strategic initiatives, transformation programs, or product implementations Organizational readiness experience (healthcare experience strongly preferred) Experience managing large program budgets exceeding $1M Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams of 10-50+ stakeholders across business, technology, and operations Strong experience with end-to-end project delivery, including Agile methodologies Excellent executive communication skills, including experience creating leadership-level presentations and status reporting Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while maintaining strong attention to detail and delivery timelines Ability to maintain a consistent and reliable work schedule Preferred Qualifications Healthcare industry experience, particularly within a payer environment Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Experience supporting enterprise transformation or large-scale organizational change initiatives Benefits Dahl Consulting is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees that will allow you to choose the best coverage to meet your family's needs.
