Senior Project Manager Downtown Chicago, IL | Hybrid Flexibility | Half-Day Fridays | ESOP A national design-build firm is looking to add a Senior Project Manager to its growing Chicago team. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to lead major projects while maintaining a level of flexibility that is difficult to find in the construction industry. The company offers the stability, resources and project pipeline of a large national contractor, while still providing a collaborative environment where people are trusted to manage their own schedules. The Opportunity As Senior Project Manager, you will oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout, working closely with the company's in-house architecture, engineering and construction teams. Projects typically range from $20M to $100M+ across sectors including: Commercial Hospitality Multifamily and residential Light industrial Mixed-use Public and institutional Why This Role Stands Out Two days per week work from home Half-day Fridays throughout the year Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Downtown Chicago office Strong backlog of high-profile projects Integrated design-build model with architecture, engineering and construction under one roof Opportunity to lead complex work without getting buried in corporate red tape Long-term path toward Project Executive and senior leadership roles What They Are Looking For 8+ years of commercial construction experience Proven experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout Strong client-facing and subcontractor management skills Ability to lead internal project teams and mentor junior staff Experience with projects valued at $20M+ preferred This is a great fit for someone who wants to take on meaningful projects with a highly respected contractor, while still having genuine flexibility and a healthy work-life balance.
